Victoria, BC, Canada, 26-Jan-04:
Intec Automation Inc., announced the release of microCommander v2.0, its HMI software suite, which now offers full support for JK microsystems' uFlashTCP low cost embedded PC, adding to the growing list of embedded microcontrollers and single board computers supported by microCommander.
With ample speed, this 25MHz Intel 386EX based SBC can take advantage of microCommander's connectivity and interactivity. This SBC is particularly suitable as a very affordable Ethernet gateway to serially controlled devices and ubiquitous X10 home-automation devices in particular. In addition, this board has 10 digital I/Os suitable for direct digital monitoring and control.
Interactivity is no longer a luxury with automated devices. Users demand it and microCommander makes it possible: It allows users to access smart devices when they want, from wherever they want and how they want. With built in Internet connectivity and a rich assortment of virtual instruments, microCommander is so simple to use thanks to its “programming without programming”.
A free download of microCommander is available from www.microcommander.com , so engineers can experience the ease of programming with microCommander using a live microcontroller connected to the Internet.
